This is very difficult question which all dealerships are facing. As you are aware that in the month of March 2020 , cars sales are down by 38 percent . In some states where social distancing and lockdown is enforced Sales are down up to 60 percent ..
I am not interested in talking negative and show numbers in red. Lets talk about what dealership should do .
Here are few suggestion for Dealer ships .
Most dealerships are embracing online sales ,which will help mitigate losses. Need to make it easy to do business online and provide online tools to assist vehicle sales as corona virus pandemic is lowering show room traffic.
Customer should be able to see all inventory online ,select vehicle negotiate price ,choose financial options And value his trade .
After that dealership should be able to send all paperwork to customer for signing or using online app for this purpose . Vehicles can be delivered to customer’s home .
Some dealerships already started home delivery of vehicles.
